Kindred Spirit

=== Lyrics ===
You seem like the stormy winds at sea
Like a green planet in an undiscovered galaxy
You seem like someone I ought to meet.
You run to me with determination
I stumble to you in hesitation
But our souls diffuse like ten incense sticks all lit at once

We talked on stages and in cafes, where people whispered and stared
Because we were loud and obscene
You took the light out of your cigarette in someone else’s ash tray
Still, we counted our social rules and performed them all wrong,
except when you remembered to say ‘bless you’ as I sneezed.

You taught me that the only way out is in,
That intimacy is beautiful, but that it has to be earned
That dignity is in the details, like when a mother bakes cake for her child
And that yes, it is boring and hard work, but it is elevating
That coming to yourself is troubling and hard work, but it is enlightening
And that knowing and doing are two separate things.

And all the while you spoke, your eyes danced out of their sockets
Your lips parted as if they forgot their way back to one another
And your hands held your head as if it were too heavy with all that it knew to be true.
Excuse me, I forgot to introduce myself
Hi, I am your truth. You said that truth is all that matters,
So let me be all that matters.

Having read this I thought it was rather enlightening. I
appreciate you finding the time and effort to put this content together.
I once again find myself personally spending way too much time both reading and
commenting. But so what, it was still worthwhile!
